COMMUNITY-BASED MENTORING
Community-Based youth ages 7-14 participate in one-to-one outings and activities in the community with a Big Sister, Big Brother or Big Couple. Matches plan time together doing things that they both enjoy, like taking a walk in the park, going to a museum, eating a meal in your home, or just hanging out and talking. Life-changing friendships are built through the simplest of moments spent together.
Meeting with your youth doesn't require a special occasion or expensive experiences. In fact, we encourage our matches to plan outings that take advantage of our match discount partners.
Each match is unique and develops a schedule that works for them. While the schedule is flexible, we ask each match to meet at least four hours a month for a 1-year commitment.
Steps to Become a Big
We value diversity and no person will be denied equal opportunity to volunteer
because of race, sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression.

Mentor Socials
Free quarterly events to help you learn more about our organizations and to thank our current mentors and stakeholders for everything they do. Mentor Socials are a great way to hear from current staff and mentors in a fun, laidback environment about what being a Big Brother, Big Sister, Big Couple, or MentorU Mentor is really about.
We've hosted Game Nights 1 & 2 at Spielbound Cafe, The Pursuit of Hoppyness at Kros Strain Brewing, Cultura y Comunidad at Primo's and Big Watch Party at DJ's Dugout (Bellevue).
